Comment

This thesis was for a doctorate (Ph.D.) in the Dept of Anthropology at Princeton awarded to Ellen Feinberg. Her first book, based on this, was "Following the Milky Way" also published as by Ellen Feinberg. The CSJ's copy has been missing for some years. The author has now changed her name to Elyn Aviva, and all her books (including this) are now catalogued under that name.
