Comment

Copy 1 (in BKA) was bequeathed by Pat Quaife, and bears her bookplate. Replaces an earlier copy.
Copy 2 (in REF) was donated by James Maple. Attached to it are " Translation notes" dated 5.11.72, ground rules for translating into English from Jeanne Vieillard's Latin / French version. James suggested these may be by TA Layton, who translated the Latin text into English and published an abbreviation of it as an Appendix to his "The Way of St James" (1976) (#00191).This is confirmed by the bookseller's note to James, which has also been attached.
